Tree Removal Nambour

cartoon of chopped down trees
Nambour was established in 1870 and is located 104 km north of Brisbane  and 13 km west of Maroochydore, in the Sunshine Coast Region.

Nambour relates to “naamba”, an Aboriginal word for the Red Flowing Bottlebrush.

Tom Petrie, an adventurer and explorer, son of Brisbane pioneer Andrew Petrie, travelled to the area in 1862. He was interested in the cedar growing there, and connected with the Aborigines in the area.

In 1879, not long after Nambour was established, a provisional school was opened. It was renamed Nambour State School in 1897. The Nambour State High School opened in 1953.

Nambour is linked by rail to Brisbane in the south, and the rail line continues northwards to Cairns.

There are opportunities to participate in various sports in Nambour, including Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Rugby League, Rigby Union, Netball. The Nambour Aquatic Centre has heated pools all year round.

Nambour has a very comfortable “Queensland” type climate, with an average 104 days of rain per year.

Welcome to the SC Tree Removal website, your best choice for all tree and stump removal services in Nambour.

We provide a number of tree care services, from tree removal to stump grinding and removal, from tree lopping to pruning and trimming. Check out our services pages if you want to know more about each service.

If you are having any troubles with your trees; if they are growing too big, or they look like they are dying and may be dangerous, please reach out to us by phone or leave your details in the form provided. We will provide you with the best tree care possible.

You might look at the services we provide and think, ‘I’ve got a chainsaw. I could just do that myself. How hard could it be?’ The answer is, it depends. It depends on whether or not safety is your primary concern; your property’s safety, as well as your own and your family’s. Unless you really know what you are doing, this line of work can be dangerous. And surprisingly, it can also be very finnicky and precise. Tree lopping, trimming and pruning are like major surgeries for trees. You wouldn’t let your neighbour perform open heart surgery on you just because he has a really sharp knife!

Unfortunately, trees do die, or sometimes they become sick or infested. During these times, they can become a danger to the trees around it, and to your property, your family and yourself. That is when you need the services of a tree removal expert that you can trust. Our contractors will remove the tree safely without damage to your property or garden. In all situations, safety – yours, ours and your properties – is the thing that guides our decisions the most.

We list out the services we provide below. Check through these, and if there is something you need that isn’t listed there, give us a call anyway. We have more information on our home page, as well, which will hopefully answer any questions you have. If you have doubts over anything, please don’t hesitate to call us.

Our Tree Removal Nambour Services

Tree Removal
If your tree is sick, dying or dead, their root system no longer has the strength to keep them steady to withstand strong winds. Not only that, their branches are more likely to fall off and cause damage to your property during storms. At this time the best option is to have the tree removed, and the best course of action then is to call in profession tree removers, like us.
Tree Lopping
Tree Lopping, sometimes also called topping, is only something that should be done in drastic circumstances. Most people are well aware that trees are alive, but what most people don’t realise is that trees also get injured and wounded. Deep cuts into a tree wound the tree like cuts would wound us. Tree lopping is like major surgery, and sometimes a tree doesn’t have the strength to overcome such a surgery. Sometimes, if the ‘surgery’ is botched, the tree reacts in unexpected ways, growing in different directions than expected. But like major surgery on humans, there are times when it is required. Lopping off a diseased major branch that might be affecting the health of the whole tree can help the tree recover. Sometimes cutting the tops of the tree to reduce height so that your tree doesn’t affect your property or get caught in powerlines, may also be required. There are numerous reasons, but such ‘operations’ should be performed by professionals only.
Tree Pruning and Trimming
Pruning relates to removing those parts of the tree that might be diseased or otherwise affecting the growth of the tree. Trees can also be pruned to ensure they stay away from overhead power lines, or your roof and gutters. Trimming, on the other hand, usually relates to beautifying and strengthening your tree, and is usually done to improve the visual look of the tree. If done incorrectly, both actions can cause the tree adverse reactions, and may stunt the tree’s future growth or cause it to grow in unexpected directions.
Stump Grinding and Removal
Tree stumps left behind can be hazardous. They can be tripping issues, and also be sources for the growth of fungi, which can be dangerous if eaten by children or pets. Stump removal removes the stump totally, leaving behind a big hole where the stump used to be; stump grinding grinds the stump down to below ground level, leaving the yard cleaner, but opening the possibility for growths to shoot up from the stump. Due to the size of the effort and machinery required to remove or grind stumps, they are classified as separate jobs to tree removal. So if you need your tree and stump removed, this must be considered as two jobs.
We hope this helps you understand the different services we provide. There’s no better time than now to call us or leave your contact details in the form provided, and we will respond to you shortly.
